NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Scott Wietecha won his fourth straight St. Jude Rock 'n' Roll Nashville Marathon on Saturday with a time of 2 hours, 25 minutes, 42 seconds.
With his win, the 34-year-old elementary school physical education teacher from Hendersonville became the first person to win one event in the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon series four times. Meb Keflezighi won the Rock 'n' Roll San Jose Half Marathon three times.
Brian Shelton of Cookville finished second on Saturday in 2:34:43.
Melanie Kulesz of Oak Ridge won the women's marathon in 2:59:12 with Megan Hovis of Charlotte, North Carolina, was second in 3:04:52.
Roosevelt Cook of Hesperia, California, won the men's half marathon in 1:11:15. Julie Stackhouse of Jacksonville, Florida, won the women's half in 1:22:17.
