LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — The University of Wyoming Union has been recognized as ranking among the nation's top college student unions and campus centers.
EDsmart is a website that offers data for students, professors and research. It recently released a list of "The 51 Most Phenomenal Student Unions" across the nation's campuses and universities.
The publication ranks the Wyoming Union No. 27. The only nearby school in the rankings is the University of Colorado at Denver, which is ranked No. 18.
The UW Union has nearly 12,000 students walking through it each day.
EDsmart editors say the leading criteria used to rank student unions were architecture and exterior appeal. Other considerations were facilities, interior appeal, history, tradition, student services and contribution to student life.
