PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the possible shooting of a vehicle on a metro Phoenix freeway.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says there are reports that someone fired from one vehicle at another on the Loop 101 freeway in the northwest Phoenix suburb of Peoria.

They say troopers are at the scene trying to determine if bullets were fired.

KPHO-TV in Phoenix (http://bit.ly/1MS5RiD) reports that the vehicle has a hole in the front driver's side window and two holes in the front passenger's side window.

Phoenix residents have been rattled by a series of random vehicle shootings on Interstate 10 between Aug. 22 and Sept. 10 involving bullets or projectiles.

A Glendale man has been charged in four of the 11 shootings.

The investigation into the other incidents remains open.
