TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) — The newest student residences at Indiana State University has opened and will house about 260 juniors, seniors and graduate students in downtown Terre Haute.
The apartment project is a partnership between the university, Thompson Thrift Development and TIAA-CREF, which financed the $23 million project. It features 75 units with one through four bedrooms on the upper four floors of the five-story building. The first floor has retail and office space.
The Tribune-Star reports (http://bit.ly/1IKW9OB ) many of the units offer scenic views of downtown.
University President Dan Bradley said during an open house Tuesday that many upperclassmen and graduate students wanted more upscale housing.
