Coroner identifies woman found dead in Las Vegas home

LAS VEGAS (AP) — An elderly woman found dead in her Las Vegas home is being investigated as a homicide.

KSNV-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1MWZcTz ) that the coroner identified the victim as 84-year-old Mary Luebeck Thursday.

Officers responded to a residence on Wednesday and found Luebeck dead with apparent trauma to her body. Officials say she was in her home when she was attacked by an unknown suspect. She died at the scene.

The cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County coroner's office.
