LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say party-goers aren't cooperating and investigators don't have much to go on after a teenage girl was wounded by gunfire during a drive-by shooting at a Las Vegas home overnight.
Officer Laura Meltzer says the girl was taken to University Medical Center and is expected to survive after the shooting about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday outside a home on a residential street near Charleston and Jones boulevards.
That's west of downtown.
Witnesses say someone in a white mid-size four-door sedan fired multiple shots as the vehicle drove past the residence. The car was described as a Toyota or Nissan.
Bullets hit the girl, the home where the party was taking place and a neighboring house.
Meltzer says there were numerous possible witnesses, but no one has identified the shooter.
