HOWELL, Utah (AP) — A teenager was killed and two other people hospitalized from separate ATV accidents in Box Elder and Duchesne counties.
KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1MATPZE ) that two teenage boys from Idaho were searching for cattle on a ranch in Hansel Valley Saturday morning when they rolled their ATV.
The Box Elder County Sheriff's Office said in a press release that the teens were travelling about 20 miles per hour down a slight incline when they hit a washout.
Both were ejected from the ATV and a 17-year-old was pronounced dead on the scene. His 16-year-old cousin was flow to a regional hospital with two broken arms.
Duchesne County Sheriff's office says a man there crashed his 4-wheeler when he apparently failed to negotiate a sharp curve, sending him down an embankment. He was unconscious when he was flown to a hospital.
