MARSING, Idaho (AP) — A southwest Idaho middle school student police say brought a pistol-style BB gun to school and threatened other students with it has been arrested.
The Idaho Press-Tribune newspaper in Nampa reports (http://bit.ly/1M9QCz1) that the 15-year-old student at Marsing Middle School was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon and that the school was locked down.
Authorities say a school resource officer made contact with the boy and found the BB gun in his backpack.
The boy was being held in the Canyon County juvenile detention facility on suspicion of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm on school grounds and disruption of an educational process.
