CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Two people were injured after being shot Saturday at a Charlotte nightclub where rappers T.I., Young Jeezy and Yo Gotti were advertised to appear, a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police spokesman said.

The Charlotte Observer (http://bit.ly/1DEONZ0 ) reported that a popular club at the N.C. Music Factory complex was hosting a "CIAA Weekend Takeover" party when shots rang out about 7 p.m. The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association has been holding its annual basketball tournament in Charlotte this week.

The victims were being treated at the Carolinas Medical Center for injuries that were not life-threatening.

It's unclear whether the party was an officially sanctioned CIAA event.

Police spokesman Rob Tufano said several shots were fired. It's not clear who the suspect was targeting. No arrests have been made.

USA Today is reporting all three rappers were on stage during the shooting.

Rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs was scheduled to appear at 10 p.m.
