PERTH AMBOY, N.J. (AP) — Authorities have found the body of an elderly dementia patient who went missing last week.

Perth Amboy officials announced Saturday that 80-year-old borough resident Moises Torres was found Friday night in an "outside area" of nearby Metuchen. They said it's not clear when Torres died or how long his body had been at the site.

A cause of death has not been determined.

Torres was last seen on Feb. 22, and family member have said he may have been walking to a nearby supermarket when he went missing. They say he enjoyed walking around town, but did not have his wallet with identification on him because he was prone to misplacing it.
