IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A new website is trying to give Internet viewers a taste of the mountaineering journey up Grand Teton's 13,770-foot summit.
The new web-based interactive from Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming takes viewers from the trailhead to the summit with maps, video and audio clips and photos.
It's aimed at students as well as people who might be able to make the excursion up the highest peak in the Teton Range.
The Post-Register reports (http://is.gd/zrKvAw ) that people can watch a video of a helicopter rescue on the peak or listen to animals such as the yellow-bellied marmot. The virtual tour tops out on the summit.
