COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A former U.S. State Department official and current Princeton University professor is speaking at a University of South Carolina event on leadership.
Anne-Marie Slaughter is speaking Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Darla Moore School of Business. She is appearing with University President Harris Pastides and taking questions after her talk.
Slaughter has entered a national spotlight with an article titled, "Why women still can't have it all," which appeared in 2012 in The Atlantic magazine. It remains one of the magazine's most read and shared articles to date. Slaughter has also served as director of policy planning for the U.S. State Department and dean of Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
The event is free and open to the public.
