MANOR, Texas (AP) — An investigator hired by a Central Texas school district says its former school board president bullied employees and abused her power by coercing them into doing favors for her family.
The investigator says the ex-Manor school board president, Desiree Cornelius-Fisher, had district workers tutor her husband and daughter to prepare them for nursing and teaching certificate exams.
Cornelius-Fisher denies the allegations and says the board is wasting money on its investigation. She said the investigator didn't interview her and called his conclusions one-sided. The investigator says he didn't interview her because she was being represented through an attorney.
The Manor school district declined to comment Tuesday to the Austin American-Statesman (http://bit.ly/1K1BbYx ) about how much it spent on the investigation of Cornelius-Fisher, who was voted out of office last spring.
