BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Washington Post reporter and award-winning author of "The Butler: A Witness to History," which was turned into a movie, will be the keynote speaker of University of Vermont's Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration week.
Wil Haygood will give a talk on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Ira Allen Chapel, followed by a book signing.
UVM is holding a series of events honoring King.
Haygood's book is based on the life of Eugene Allen, a butler who served eight presidents from Harry Truman to Ronald Reagan.
Tickets are available to the UVM students, faculty and staff and general public. They can be picked up during business hours at the Dudley H. Davis Center at the first floor Hoffman information desk and at the registrar's office student service center kiosk in Waterman.
