Police find elderly Lewiston woman's body at park

CLARKSTON, Idaho (AP) — Clarkston police say they are treating the death of an elderly woman whose body was found in a popular park as suspicious.

The Lewiston Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1yjBJEc ) the woman's body was found by a passer-by on Friday morning between the park and a beach on the banks of the Snake River. The cause of the woman's death is not yet known.

Police officials say they have determined the identity of the woman, who is from Lewiston and is between 60 and 70 years of age. They are not releasing her name pending notification of next of kin.
