MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Two more faculty groups at the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system have voted no confidence in chancellor Steven Rosenstone.
The Star Tribune reports (http://strib.mn/1s0D5Pu ) that faculty groups at Bemidji State University and Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall approved no-confidence votes Monday.
Overall, faculty at five of the seven MnSCU universities have issued no-confidence votes against Rosenstone, with groups at Winona State, St. Cloud State and Minnesota State University, Mankato, issuing their votes in just the past two weeks.
They say they object to a plan to reshape MnSCU's campuses, and they expressed concerns about trust and transparency.
Rosenstone's office says in a statement Tuesday that MnSCU continues to be disappointed that faculty union leaders are using this tactic with the goal of stopping conversations about the plan.
