LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities have identified a 68-year-old Las Vegas man who died when his ATV rolled in a southern Nevada off-roading area over the weekend.
Clark County coroner's officials say Charles Haddon Spurgeon Lord II died of his injuries at the Apex/Nellis Dunes off-highway vehicle area on Sunday. His 67-year-old female passenger was airlifted to University Medical Center with serious injuries.
Police say the incident happened about 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the ATV area, which is located near Clark R. Peterson and North Las Vegas boulevards.
Investigators say Lord's vehicle rolled down a foothill in a desert area, and he was ejected from it.
