IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Authorities in southeastern Idaho are investigating the apparent drowning death of a toddler in a canal.
The Bonneville County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded Saturday to a report of a missing 18-month old girl in Idaho Falls.
Authorities say a neighbor found the girl in the canal near the home where she had been reported missing.
The girl was taken to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
The girl's name hasn't been released.
