Bicyclist struck, killed by car in North Las Vegas

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — Police are investigating the death of a bicyclist in North Las Vegas.

Police say a car driven by a 55-year-old North Las Vegas woman struck the man on the bicycle at the intersection of Lake Mead Boulevard and North Fifth Street.

Officers found the man dead on the roadway.

Witnesses report the woman had a green light at the time of the Saturday morning accident.

Police say charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.

The names of the victim and the woman were not immediately released.
