SANTAQUIN, Utah (AP) — Two women have been killed in a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 15 near Santaquin.

The Utah Highway Patrol says a car driven by 25-year-old Diana Manzo of Mapleton began going off an off-ramp Saturday afternoon when it re-entered the freeway and overturned.

Troopers say Manzo and a passenger, 21-year-old Sabrina Rasmussen of Springville, were not wearing seat belts and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Rasmussen's 17-year-old brother was wearing a seat belt and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Witnesses told troopers the car had been driving recklessly before the crash. The UHP says speed was a likely contributing factor.

The 3:15 p.m. accident is under investigation.
