VERNAL, Utah (AP) — Authorities say a 21-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were killed in a rollover crash over the weekend in Dry Fork Canyon.

The Uintah County Sheriff's Office says 21-year-old Vernal resident Trevor Cuch died after being ejected from the vehicle Saturday night. Authorities say the teen was taken to the Ashley Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

Sheriff's Cpl. Dustin Cheshire says people living nearby heard the crash and reported it about 8 p.m. Saturday.

Cheshire says there were no eyewitnesses, but the vehicle was seen driving fast in the area before the crash.

Deputies say the two had borrowed the vehicle from a friend who reported they were overdue in returning it. That report helped identify the victims.
