DUDLEY, Mass. (AP) — A former Oxford High School gym teacher who sexually assaulted a young girl has been sentenced to five years in prison.
Dung Nguyen was sentenced Thursday in Dudley District Court after pleading guilty to three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.
The Telegram & Gazette (http://bit.ly/1oMAuud ) reports that the charges were amended from rape, aggravated rape and indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.
Prosecutors say the 40-year-old Nguyen touched the girl over her clothes on numerous occasions over the past two years and progressed to touching under her clothes.
Prosecutors did not disclose the girl's relationship to the teacher, but said she is "approximately 14 years old."
