Burlington library to put locks on restrooms

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — The public library in the Vermont city of Burlington plans to put locks on its public restrooms to keep people from clogging the toilets with hypodermic needles and other drug material.

The head librarian at Fletcher Free Library says they hope to have the locks in place by the end of the week.

She told the Burlington Free Press (http://bfpne.ws/1tBmXZ9 )that the restroom were closed three weeks ago after toilets became backed up with needles and other drug paraphernalia for a third time.
