SEBRING, Fla. (AP) - Authorities in Highlands County say two U.S. Marshals have been shot and wounded while attempting to execute a search warrant in a drug investigation.
Highlands County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Nell Hays told the Highlands Today newspaper ( http://bit.ly/187YbIJ) that the shooting happened about 6 a.m. Wednesday at a home in Sebring. Hays described the marshals' injuries as not life-threatening.
Further details about the shootings or the investigation were not immediately available. It wasn't clear if any arrests were made or if anyone else was injured.
