Zydeco Roots Artist Terrance Simien Wins GrammyT, Announces
International Tour Dates and National Distribution Deal
NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- At this year's 56th
Annual GRAMMYT Awards, Zydeco favorite Terrance Simien & the Zydeco
Experience took home the "Best American Roots Album" GRAMMYT for
Dockside Sessions, released independently via Simien's MusicMatters
Records. Following Dockside Sessions' GRAMMYT win, legendary record
distributor Select-O-Hits, Inc. joined the Zydeco buzz and picked up
the album for distribution. Simien's recent success is one of three
major Zydeco milestones in 2014: Clifton Chenier received the Lifetime
Achievement Award from The Recording Academy, and Buckwheat Zydeco is
the official honoree for the exclusive New Orleans Jazz Fest's 16th
Annual Jazz & Heritage Gala.

tour dates throughout 2014. Highlight performances include a 28th
consecutive performance at New Orleans Jazz Fest - where Simien will
perform at the aforementioned gala honoring Buckwheat Zydeco - and a
headlining slot at Byron Bay Bluesfest in Australia immediately prior
