Authorities say a man who killed a heating oil company worker during a service call at his New Hampshire home has died.
The attorney general's office says Richard Verville shot and killed Daniel Rabideau on Tuesday while Rabideau was working on Verville's heating system in Londonderry. Authorities say Verville then shot himself. Verville survived and was taken to a Massachusetts hospital, where he died Wednesday.
Rabideau worked for City Fuel, based in Manchester. He died of a gunshot wound to the head. His widow tells WMUR-TV he didn't know the man who shot him.
Authorities say Verville apparently was suffering from significant mental health issues. Neighbors describe him as paranoid.

Authorities have identified a New Hampshire homicide victim along with the man who they say killed him and then attempted to kill himself.
The attorney general's office says 69-year-old Richard Verville shot and killed 59-year-old Daniel Rabideau on Tuesday while Rabideau was working on Verville's heating system. Authorities say Verville then shot himself. He was in stable condition Wednesday.
Rabideau, who worked for City Fuel, died of a single gunshot wound to the head. His widow, Carol Rabideau, told WMUR-TV that her husband did not know the man accused of killing him.
Authorities say Verville apparently was suffering from significant mental health issues.

The widow of a New Hampshire heating oil company worker says she's not aware of any previous contact between her husband and a homeowner accused of killing him.
Investigators say the Londonderry homeowner fatally shot an oil company employee who came to his house to do work on Tuesday before trying to kill himself. Authorities haven't released either of their names, but the worker's wife, Carole Rabideau, of Manchester, told WMUR-TV (http://bit.ly/1TzBMpr) that her husband was killed.
Carole Rabideau says her husband, Daniel, was 59 years old and had a son, four stepchildren and 11 grandchildren. She says he didn't deserve to die.
The homeowner was taken to a hospital in Massachusetts, where he's listed in critical condition.

Authorities say a New Hampshire man fatally shot a heating oil company employee who came to his house to do work before trying to kill himself and engaging in an hours-long standoff with police.
Police and SWAT team members responded to the home in Londonderry on Tuesday. The neighborhood was evacuated and several schools were placed on lockdown due to the police activity.
Neighbors told police that a City Fuel van pulled up to the home and they heard gunfire a short time later. Investigators say the employee was killed. The homeowner was taken to a hospital in Massachusetts, where he's listed in critical condition.
Investigators have not released either of their names.
It's unclear what sparked the shooting.
