BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — The House health care committee passed a Senate-approved bill Tuesday that would expand Louisiana's medical marijuana law. The 8-6 vote for Sen. Fred Mills' proposal sends it to the full House for consideration. Here's how committee members voted:
VOTING FOR THE BILL (8):
Reps. Kenny Cox, D-Natchitoches; Marcus Hunter, D-Monroe; Katrina Jackson, D-Monroe; Bernard LeBas, D-Ville Platte; Tanner Magee, R-Houma; Dustin Miller, D-Opelousas; Helena Moreno, D-New Orleans; and Rogers Pope, R-Denham Springs.
VOTING AGAINST THE BILL (6):
Reps. Larry Bagley, R-Stonewall; Dodie Horton, R-Haughton; Mike Johnson, R-Bossier City; Julie Stokes, R-Kenner; Tom Willmott, R-Kenner; and Frank Hoffmann, R-West Monroe, committee chairman.
NOT PRESENT FOR THE VOTE (2):
Reps. Bob Hensgens, R-Abbeville, and Robert Johnson, D-Marksville.
