BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho House has approved legislation to cap the state's homeowner property tax exemption. Under the bill, the maximum exemption would be $100,000. State law allows qualified homeowners to claim the property tax exemption for their primary dwelling and up to one acre of land.
GARDEN CITY, Idaho (AP) — A Washington man has been charged in an accidental shooting at a gun show in Garden City, Idaho. Two men were injured Oct. 31 when a rifle fired at the Expo Idaho gun show. KTVB-TV reports the man told Ada County sheriff's officials that he was attaching a zip tie to the trigger assembly of a bolt-action rifle when the gun went off.
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A group of College of Southern Idaho students are stuck in limbo after completing their physical therapist assistant classes, but are barred from graduating due to accreditation problems. The Times-News reports that the physical therapist assistant classes at CSI are not accredited, which means the 10 students can't take a licensing exam.
LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) — Federal wildlife services and Idaho Department of Fish and Game officials have joined forces to kill wolves in the Clearwater Region for the third year in a row. The Lewiston Tribune reports at least one environmental group is petitioning the federal government to stop the hunt.
