RENO, Nev. (AP) — Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid says there's "not a chance" he'll leave Nevada's 3rd Congressional District race without a Democratic candidate. Reid tells the Reno Gazette-Journal that Democrats are talking with a number of potential candidates to replace Republican Rep. Joe Heck, who's running for Senate. Four Republicans have announced bids for Heck's seat, but no prominent Democrats have jumped in.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada regulators say the state's casinos kept nearly $831 million of what was gambled in June but the amount was down about 8 percent compared to a year ago. The Nevada Gaming Control Board reported that for the fiscal year through June 30 casino gambling revenue dropped 1.6 percent.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Tourism officials say more than 21 million people have visited Las Vegas in the first half of 2015, about 1.5 percent more than a year ago when the destination recorded more than 40 million travelers for the first time. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority said 3.5 million people visited in June representing a 2.4 percent increase compared to a year ago.

MINEOLA, N.Y. (AP) — Entertainer Flavor Flav has fired his second lawyer in his New York traffic case and his plea deal is kaput. The rapper and reality TV star said in a Mineola courtroom that he doesn't deserve a felony charge. Flav, whose real name is William Drayton, lives in Las Vegas. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013 with the rap group Public Enemy.
