PARAGONAH, Utah (AP) -- One hundred sheep died when a semi-trailer carrying them caught fire in southern Utah.
It happened on I-15 in Iron County Wednesday.
The Utah Highway Patrol says the semi that was carrying 300 sheep picked up a piece of road debris that locked a tire and caused the fire.
The sheep that survived were taken to Cedar Livestock Market to recover. Authorities say the surviving sheep were burned or had eye injuries.
Troopers did NOT know who owned the livestock.
