(KSL News) The Jordan School District has officially joined the fight against vouchers. Last night the board of education passed a resolution supporting a petition drive to put the voucher issue to a public vote.
They said the new law is problematic because it does not hold private schools accountable even though they will be receiving public monies.
If the voucher program is put into effect, families will be given between $500 and $3,000 per year to send children to the private school of their choosing.
