Andrew Adams, KSL Newsradio There is no shortage of gamers in Salt Lake City. A new report from Scarborough Research ranks the city first in the nation in households that own video game consoles. That might not be surprising to some of you.
Kelan Read, EB Games: "We never have a Wii in stock."
Kelan Read at EB Games leaves lots of people disappointed.
Disappointed customer: "Oh, we'll keep looking."
Kelan Read: "We try to keep them in stock, but we don't have them for very long."
And it's no wonder with gamers like Zach Vail here in the valley.
Zach Vail: "I've had six or seven PS2s. I played Halo for a month straight online."
Question: "You like the gore?"
Zach Vail: "Yeah"
Here at EB Games, they've already got pre-orders for Madden ‘08, which doesn't come out until the end of August. Workers say it's not hard to see why Salt Lakers are big into gaming.
Kelan Read: "People just like to get into (them)."
