SALT LAKE CITY -- A Park City man who pleaded guilty to 52 counts of bank fraud, four counts of wire fraud and one count of failing to appear has been sentenced to more than 15 years in prison.

U.S. District Judge Tena Campbell on Thursday sentenced Jeffrey Geddes to 188 months behind bars. He also must pay more than $7 million in restitution.

In 2008, he admitted to taking out a $30 million line of credit for a company that didn't exist.

Before he was sentenced, he faked his own death and disappeared. U.S. marshals eventually tracked him down in San Diego.
