(KSL News) Hill Air Force Base introduced the newest fighter plane today. The F-35 Lightning Two Joint Strike Fighter is the fifth-generation fighter plane with the most advanced technology aviation has seen.
Mike Barton, F35 program and pilot interface: "It's very exciting for me and the company as well to know that we are producing another airplane that's going to be around for years and years. "
The plane is not detected by radar, can go after any target on land or water and in any weather conditions. The cockpit has an 8x20-inch touch screen and voice commands that can be customized by each pilot. Even the helmet plays a vital role with a screen in the visor instead of the cockpit.
Hill Air Force Base should be seeing the F-35s within eight years.
