Andrew Adams, KSL NewsradioOne man redefines role model, or at least tries to redefine a ref's face in front of a bunch of fifth-graders in Tooele.
The man swung at the ref with the kids watching and knocked him down. Tooele police say the guy apparently didn't like getting a technical foul for giving the ref a piece of his mind.
The ref actually had to be taken to the hospital by paramedics to be checked out. He was later released.
The suspect faces misdemeanor charges. Investigators tell the Deseret Morning News they believe this is the first case of Junior Jazz violence they've seen.
