Dominic Montoya, Good Samaritan: "I wish I could have done better, that's all."

But Dominic Montoya did his best to save the man who was riding this motorcycle as the bike went up in flames.

Dominic Montoya: "I was afraid that he was somehow going to get engulfed in flames, because one thing I noticed, the gas was going down the drain and the fire was following us."

Montoya and other witnesses dragged 59-year old Randolph Andersen away from the scene.

Dominic Montoya: "His look on his face was horrible. I just saw the pain in his eyes. I was holding his hand, I was whispering to him, 'You're going to be alright', cause I've always heard that if you talk to them, even if they're unconscious, it always helps out. So I was talking to him and started to say a prayer. I don't even know if I finished it."

Andersen's motorcycle and a brown van collided head-on late last nigh as Andersen tried to make a left turn on 11800 South and State Street. Police believe the van didn't have its lights on. The female driver wasn't seriously hurt.

Dominic Montoya: "I just remember hearing her yelling, 'We didn't see him, we didn't see him. Please help him.'"

Montoya could feel the victim's pulse and his breath. He was about to perform CPR, but it was too late.

Dominic Montoya: "Just out of nowhere. You could tell he was gone, but I was hoping they would get him back, and I found out a little later, they never did."

Montoya, who was in a serious car crash last year, knows what the families affected by this, are going through.

Dominic Montoya: "I feel sorry for his family, I feel sorry for the people in the car who was in the accident with him."
