CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- A scientist has donated $3 million to Southern Utah University for a life-sciences complex.
It will include a 50,000-square-foot building to house the school's nursing, biology and life-sciences programs as well as a museum. The donor --- a Southern Utah graduate --- wants to be anonymous.
The Legislature still would have to provide $17 to $19 million for the project. The school's new president says he'll ask for help next year.
Separately, Benson wants to raise $115 million by 2012 --- the school's 115th anniversary.
