(KSL News) Governor Huntsman has moved to the back burner a petition to open up Utah's roadless forests to vehicles.
The Governor said legal uncertainties about the plans make it difficult to move forward at this time. He made the announcement in front of a group from the Outdoor Retailers Convention yesterday. The group has vocally opposed the petition in the past.
The petition called for the federal roadless designation to be removed, and for the state to handle land management decisions.
