(KSL News) After Theresa Christensen's own child was diagnosed with insulin-dependent diabetes, she volunteered for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to help find a cure.
Her sister says she's a great example as a mother and a leader. We surprised her with a High 5 this morning at her West Jordan home.
Julia Wilkins/Nominated sister: "I nominated you for all the fundraising you do for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, in addition to everything else you have going on in your life."
Ashley Hayes/Eyewitness News: "Can you tell us how you are feeling this morning? Did you expect this?"
Theresa Christensen: "No. Usually you High 5 like amazing people, and I don't put myself in that category. So, wow!"
If there is someone you'd like to nominate, and we are still looking for romance-themed ideas.
