GRANTSVILLE -- A Grantsville mother accidentally ran over her 2-year-old son Saturday afternoon.
Police said the toddler was playing in the yard of his family's mobile home on the 600 block of East Main Street when his mother pulled out of the driveway in her full-size Ford van and backed over him.
When she realized she had hit something, she got out of the van to check it out; that's when she found her son.
The boy was conscious when paramedics arrived but had significant cuts and bruises on his abdomen.
He was flown to the hospital in critical condition.
As of Sunday morning, the boy's condition was upgraded to good.
He was expected to make a full recovery.
