BLUFFDALE, UTAH (AP) -- A convicted rapist has died behind bars of an apparent heart attack.
Prison officials say 59-year-old Vaughn Roger Goodsell was found unconscious Tuesday night. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Goodsell had been serving a prison sentence since March 2000. That's when a Logan judge convicted him for rape of a child.
In November, Goodsell went before the state parole board, which ordered him to remain in prison at least until his next parole hearing in 2016.
