BOUNTIFUL -- Two men were injured Saturday evening when their car rolled on Interstate 15. Several witnesses told police it appears the driver was racing another vehicle when the accident happened.

Utah Highway Patrol troopers said witnesses told them the white Mazda was driving recklessly on northbound I-15 and appeared to be racing a silver Subaru Impreza.

The driver of the Mazda lost control near 500 West and side-swiped a truck. The vehicle then rolled onto its top and slid roughly 200 feet.

The 18-year-old driver, Maurice Brown, was transported to University Hospital by medical helicopter with serious injuries. His 20-year-old passenger, Matthew Godfrey, was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.

The UHP says charges against Brown and the driver of the Impreza are pending.
