Sam Penrod Reporting More drama today in the case of the parents accused of kidnapping their daughter to stop her marriage. Today the parents were given a trial date as they offered yet another public apology.

The parents continue to say they are sorry, but the question many are beginning to ask is this: As bad as it may have been for the parents to keep their daughter from getting married, is this court case and very public family feud even worse?

Julianna Redd missed her wedding day in August after her parents drove her out of state against her will. Despite her parents' actions to stop the wedding, she married her fiancé three days later and pressed kidnapping charges against them. Now her parents are growing frustrated their daughter is still pursuing the court case against them, even after they apologized on national TV.

Lem Redd, Bride's Father: "We have made an apology and said that what we did was incorrect, but we feel this is definitely wrong."

From the perspective of Julianna and her husband, though, the apology is not sincere. The groom's aunt says Perry and Julianna believe her parents need to be held accountable.

Debbie Myers, Groom's Aunt: "I think there needs to be some consequences. I'm worried about the other daughters; they live in a very dysfunctional home and they need help."

She says this is the second time the parents interfered with one of their daughter's wedding.

Debbie Myers, Groom's Aunt: "They've wrecked the one previous daughter's marriage. She was engaged and they chased him off, and I guess they thought they were going to chase Perry off, but the Myers don't run."

As for the Redds, they continue to apologize for what they did.

Julia Redd, Bride's Mother: "We don't carry any animosity for her, we don't have any animosity towards Perry or his family. We don't know them or him, we were hoping to get to know him better."

Lem Redd: "We still want Julianna to know that we love her and wish the best for her and Perry and their little family."

The trial is scheduled to start on July 9th. The Redds say they are open to a plea deal, if one is offered, to end all of this. But if it goes to trial and if they are convicted of kidnapping, it could mean time in prison.
