(KSL News) There is a new commander at the Utah National Guard Base in Salt Lake.

Brigadier General Brent Winget retired today after 32 years of service. He flew in Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

Brigadier General David Hooper is the new commander. He has recently been the director of operations for the Utah Air National Guard and a pilot for Northwest Airlines.
