WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) -- A pair of sold-out benefit theater performances raised more than 26-thousand dollars for the surviving family members of a Christmas Eve day crash.

Ticket sales for two performances of "See How They Run" at the Hale Centre Theatre generated 24-thousand 600 dollars. Actors passed a hat through audiences to raise another 17-hundred.

A third benefit performance was planned for today.

Three members of the Ceran family -- mother Cheryl and children Ian and Julianna -- were riding in the front seat of a car when it was broadsided in Murray about 2:30 a-m. Sunday.

Ceran's husband, Gary, and two other children survived.

Gary Ceran and his two surviving children had recently performed in the theater's production of "A Christmas Carol."

Prosecutors have charged Carlos Rodolfo Preito with three felony counts of automobile homicide. Murray police say Preito admitting to drinking five beers before the crash.
