PAYSON -- Police arrested a former Payson High School assistant softball coach a year after she allegedly developed a relationship with one of the players.
McKell Shurtliff is accused of multiple sex acts with the 15-year-old girl over a three-month span in 2008.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports officers originally started investigating this case last November but weren't able to develop enough evidence against Shurtliff.
Finally the girl talked to police last week, and Shurtliff was arrested on Friday.
Police say Shurtliff told them she knew the relationship was wrong, but she loved the girl.
