SALT LAKE CITY - Mitt Romney refused to speculate Tuesday on the possibility he will run again for U.S. President.

Political observers say Romney is making all the right appearances and keeping in touch with all the right people if he wants to make a run for the White House in 2012.

Tuesday morning on CNN, he talked about the auto industry when he was asked about whether he will run again for president.

"That is a horizon too far away to possibly speculate on right now. Yogi Berra said something like this: ‘I don't like forecasting, particularly if the future is involved,'" Romney said.

Still, political strategists are pointing out that Romney has addressed several Republican gatherings and won the straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference last month.

He is writing a book and next year will support more Republican campaigns.

Besides packing up his for-sale Park City ski home, Romney has no official job for the first time in his adult life. But he is busy. Just this week he has three different fundraisers in Chicago, Washington D.C. and New York. He also has been in demand for his background in business.
