LOGAN -- Utah State University police cited a professor for lewd behavior with another man in a campus steam room. The investigation could be expanding after police discovered online ads.
It allegedly happened Tuesday in the men's locker room of the steam room in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation building on 700 North.
"Witnesses walked into the steam room, observed this, walked back out," said Utah State University Police Captain Steve Milne.
He says witnesses reported it, but by the time officers arrived, the men were gone.
Tom Peterson, a professor in the Agricultural Systems Technology and Education, faces a lewd behavior citation, and the investigation might not be over.
"You look on craigslist, there are several postings of people wanting to get together and meet at the steam room," Milne said.
The Herald Journal reports the facility now has a night manager who walks through the building.
