(KSL News) The Utah Highway Patrol arrested Deborah K. Schlosser, 56, during a drug bust along Interstate 80 Saturday afternoon.
Sgt. Larry Mower told KSL a trooper stopped a vehicle on I-80 at milepost 182 near the border of Salt Lake and Tooele counties.
Mower said, "Her story was that she was going to visit family in Minnesota, and the details of her visit were kind of sketchy. So that raised the trooper's suspicions. So at that point, he decided to deploy the dog.
The trooper brought out a drug-sniffing dog "Tank." He discovered 162 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle. The marijuana had a street value of $600,000.
Schlosser, who is from California, is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
