LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- The girlfriend of a Logan man who beat his two-year-old son to death earlier this year has entered a plea.

Yesterday, 25-year-old Christina John pleaded guilty to child neglect for failing to report the abuse by her boyfriend --- 23-year-old Mychal Denny.

Authorities say Denny hit his son Tyson in the stomach back in August because the boy had relieved himself on the floor.

Denny pleaded guilty last month to second-degree child-abuse homicide. He faces up to 15 years in prison when he's sentenced on October 24th.

Meanwhile, John faces up to a year in jail. Her sentencing is set on November 14th.
